Summer Laze

Today I am eating my lunch in a rush because it is late, and I am hungry.

Several of my kids and grandkids are off on adventures this week, and with my empathy, I feel tons of joy for them but also that going-on-a-trip stress, even though I am not going on any trips and the kids are all well into their adulthoods, and the grandkids have plenty of support!

Right this minute, I see a cute butterfly fluttering around the backyard, the sumac berries moving into their bright red shades, damp logs awaiting our next fire, and the brilliant brass of the birdfeeder roof, wet with rain.

Song in my head when I awoke this morning: Strut by Emeline

On the lunch plate: leftover pizza

On the dinner plate: southwest-style baked tilapia, confetti corn, pepper strips, dip

Current weather: quite rainy, foggy, dim, temp 73F

Projects planned: sewing, moving dirt
