Today I went to the zoo with a couple of my kids and my partner. I saw two koala, plus many old favorites. The animals seemed very active, and we might have witnessed an actual penguin party. We didn't see the baby elephant twins this trip, but we did get to see their older brother and dad. Other highlights included the relaxing komodo dragon that seemed to be nearly lunching with us, the sleeping Andean bear that looked nearly catlike in his feet-up pose, the flamingo flock (definite an every time favorite), and the fennec fox (also an every time favorite).
Afterwards I made the family a good dinner & did my chores. It's definitely been an always-on sort of day. I'm thinking that tomorrow is looking that way too. Summer! I love it.
