The Day-to-Day That Makes Up the Majority of Our Lives

Yesterday afternoon, I mowed quadrant B of our yard. It was covered with wild strawberries so I basked in the delicious aroma. I also ordered some boards for our laundry room project. I freak out whenever I buy something online! Hopefully Diana can fit these boards in our car and get them home within the next couple of days so that this project can move forward.

On work-day mornings, I help Diana get ready for work and then she is off around 7:45 or so. Then I usually do my morning routine, but some days, like today, I flag a bit, and then I find another way to keep on with my life. Today, I did some looping (moving through tasks on a loop), and then I just made a very specific list. I don't have too much to do today, but I have some body aches, am itchy, and feel tired. Those things slow me down a lot.

I recently finished reading We Do What We Do in the Dark by Michelle Hart. It isn't a kind of book that I frequently read, but I did enjoy the change. The book was a solid three out of five stars, and sometimes it was truly great. The story handled a deep growing up and moving on theme in a way that was sometimes disjointed and jarring, but definitely emotional. The theme of who are we and can one change was handled a bit better.

Song in my head when I woke up this morning: I Miss Having Sex But At Least I Don't Wanna Die Anymore by Waterparks

On the music machine: Kids in America by Kim Wilde

On the lunch plate: Leftover Monterey chicken and Diana's homemade bunny-themed snack mix

In the drinking glass: Orange juice mixed with water
