Zoo Boo

There was a pandemic. WHO, reluctantly and with reservations, declared an end to the COVID-19 public health emergency on May 5th, but its vestiges live on.

Because of the pandemic, most people in most parts of the world had lockdowns when they had to minimize leaving their homes and in general interacting with each other.

I still think this profoundly affected us all. It makes me sad. I don't want anyone to forget. So many people lost so much!

My boyfriend died of COVID-19, the illness that was pandemic. One of my children lost many of the things that typically go into a last semester of college. All of my children and grandchildren had to grow up so fast.

I lost connections.

In better news, maybe, our zoo is going to have a pair of koalas visit all summer. Also, it is almost beach season. Also, I went to the zoo on Saturday, and it was fun.
