Yesterday evening, I finally got around to listening to the whole new Gnash album, The Art of Letting Go. I may not love it quite as much as we, but that is basically because I truly loved every song on we from nearly the first time I heard each one. The Art of Letting Go is a little more nuanced, but Balance; Rainbow; Money, Love & Death; Guiding Light; I Got a Lot to Lose; Family, Man; and Life (Everybody Dies) each really spoke to me. Guiding Light was likely my favorite on first listen. Then I listened to the new Ed Sheeran song, Eyes Closed, not my first listen but the first one where I was closely paying attention. I like it, but I wouldn't say I love it. Next I listened to the new Fall Out Boy album, So Much (For) Stardust. I had heard all the songs because Diana has been playing them, but this was my first listen through in order. My initial reaction to the whole album is that every song has an intro that promises so much, and then doesn't quite completely deliver. Of course, that could go with the album's them. Hmmm. The album starts strong with Love from the Other Side and ends strong with So Much (for) Stardust. Those would be my two favorite songs from the album at this point. I was also pulled in by Heartbreak Feels So Good. This song has been out for awhile so there may be sleepers on this album that will pull me in or stick with me or otherwise move me as the days go by.
This morning, the sky was a pretty orange-y pink during my morning walk. I heard many birds. I am happy to be alive.
In the lunch bowl: leftover brussel sprouts, leftover mashed potatoes, leftover sausage
On the dinner plate: No clue!
