In other news, I have been spending some time birding each or most days. New birds are slow to come, but as spring returns there is more and more bird activity around our home! Birds I saw today: crow, blue jay, cardinal, white-breasted nuthatch, black-capped chickadee, tufted titmouse, northern flicker. Possibly more I can't remember.
The soup supper gathering went well, but there was a large crowd, and I got myself exhausted. I want to be stronger, but the circle of feeling stronger, doing something more than I usually do, collapsing in exhaustion, needing extended rest continues. Life!
In spite the exhaustion, I want to continue building community.
I need to remember that I do have physical improvements. There was a two year period when my left knee was so unstable that I thought I'd never take a long walk again. Now, my left knee is fairly stable and mostly only hurts at night, and long walks aren't a problem. Also, I use to suffer with sharp hip pain whenever I stood at the kitchen counter or sink for more than 3 minutes. Now I can stand at the counter and sink, and do chores indefinitely. That is thanks to a lot of research, gait improvement, and targeted exercise on my part. But I still have so far to go.
"Impossible" thing I'd like to be able to do: hang by my arms supporting my full body weight
On the lunch table: leftover soup
On the dinner table: goulash, salad
On the novel pile: Hell Bent by Leigh Bardugo
