Valentines All Around

Today the weather is sunny, but I am seeing snow in the forecast for next week. "Fingers crossed for an early spring!" Today I walked down the street and around the house with the sun on my head. I worked on fixing, reorientating, raising the rear birdfeeder so that the squirrel no longer has access. I also put some of the dumped out seed back in the feeder.

Today has really been a bird-full day! Robins, starlings, a lone grackle and a pair of white-breasted nuthatches congregate on the trees and bushes and lawn. I hear crows and I saw a bluejay. The titmice return over and over again to the various feeders and I hear downy woodpeckers in the wood. The sun was particularly gorgeous in my morning walk with the songs of the birds all around. I am still a bit nervous of judgment while walking backward, and I know that is just ridiculous. But, I don't want someone to stop and talk to me. I need to remain confident in my choices so that things like that don't bother me so much! When Diana is with me, I am not worried at all.

Today is Valentines Day, and I have been working on listening to my love. Not Diana, but the love inside me for others. It helps me show my best self. Tonight will be the annual heart-shaped pizza fest. It'll just be the three of us, but I bet it is fun.

I woke up to this cute valentine from Diana, which I have already creatively accented with the provided stylus.
