I am reading Outlive, by Peter Attia. It is a book about what science says about both living longer and healthier into old age. This is something that really interests me. I see so many boomers 10, 15, 20 years older than me really seeming to give up on life. I want to live in a way that makes my last decade or so of life still rich and full, and also to minimize my pain.
Diana & I have been working towards that by doing more and better movement, but I know in my heart (literally) that that isn't enough. And I haven't gone on a longer, challenging walk in about a year. If I don't improve my cardio fitness, I won't likely be able to keep my activity levels up into old age. This book is helping me create a plan to improve my cardio fitness so that I can feel more hopeful about the next couple of decades, and perhaps more.
In Faerie Gardens news, fall is at the height of its glory. The photo above was taken here yesterday, and it doesn't begin to show the true vibrancy of the fall colors.
