Just Another Fall Day on the Homestead

Photo of our garden moving into fall. We still have many green tomatoes, but we have gotten a lot of ripe ones too.

Today, I did a lot of work in the back yard, lopping and moving brush. Snow helped a lot with the lopping and also some log moving. Our brush pile/animal habitat is HUGE! I'm pretty tired but also keyed up.

Tomorrow we're having at least a brief visit with friends. We're also doing Saturday errands: transfer station, bottle return, library, Aldi, and Diana has an art-related work meeting. I'm looking forward to being out and about.

Tonight we're doing laundry. I'm looking forward to that too!

In today's smoothie: V8 pomegranate-blueberry 100% juice blend, kale, frozen mixed berries

Birds heard while drinking my smoothies outside: None! (But I did hear a lot of insects and red squirrels. Overall, it was pretty noisy!)

Song in my head when I awoke: Money for Nothing by Dire Straits

In the lunchbowl: Leftover Italian sausage spaghetti sauce over french fries & tossed salad

In the drinking glass: Wegmans lime seltzer
