Today was the 8th day of my test CARs practice. I am having some back pain that is in the same spot that I previously had a back injury. I think this might be because I have been doing my CARs at an increased intensity. I will honor my body and keep those CARs smaller or less intense where they need to be. My standing closed-chain hip CARs have always hurt my left hip, my bad hip that is, but today, they really hurt bad in that area, and it still hurt afterward. I'm going to keep that move in the routine, but I will keep an eye on the amount of rotation and intensity with that one too. On the other hand, my floor hip CARs are going great!
Today we also went to the beach at Fair Haven State Park. We had sandwiches and chips, and then after a brisk swim, went out for ice cream. It may have been the best outing I have had this summer. I am so glad I made it happen. I also got to see my daughter Lia and visit with her a bit, and my daughter JoAnn had come along with us. Wonderful! The weather couldn't have been better.
