It's Been a Weekend

Yesterday, I went to a birthday party for my two grandkids, who have just turned 12 & 14. It was a lot of fun for me. I didn't want to leave.

Today has been a good day too. I slept as long as I wanted to. I woke up pain free. I had a nice, not rainy walk. I've spent tons of time outside. I listened to a moving podcast. I've had good connection with Diana. The photo is of goldenrod I saw on my walk.

Today I started a project to do a series of CARs (Controlled Articular Rotations) for my joint health for 30 days. Today was day one. I have not been doing CARs for the past few weeks, and today, my left hip and both my knees were at a very low level of functioning. I am not an exerciser, but I do like to stay active. My intent in this pursuit is to decide if I should make CARS part of my regular routine.

In today's smoothie: Grape juice, green & purple string beans, spinach, frozen blueberries, frozen cranberries, frozen strawberries

Birds I heard while drinking my smoothie outside: House wren, Baltimore oriole, ruby-throated hummingbird, blue jay, American goldfinch

Song in my head when I awoke this morning: Money, Love & Death by Gnash

On the lunch plate: Scrambled eggs with spinach, red pepper sticks, cucumber wheels, and bold pretzels

In the drinking glass: Watermelon seltzer

On the dinner plate: Turkey, gravy, stuffing, peas
