Slowly, Slowly, Slowly

Blast from the past photo from the last big family day trip we took to visit our son in the Berkshires last summer. That was a good day.

Here and now, it has been hot and humid. The three of us here are flagging. Also, bad air quality from the Canadian wildfires. Yeah, we're moving slow. Unoxygenated. Chronically dehydrated. Blood pressure rising. But we keep on doing (and resting) and doing. And there are good times and laughs, plenty of fun moments.

Diana & I continue to watch What We Do in the Shadows. It is a good, funny show.

Birds I heard today: (Very noisy) blue jay (first thing in the morning), red-eyed vireo, American redstart, cedar waxwing, tufted titmouse, chipping sparrow, house wren, American goldfinch, black-capped chickadee, & American robin (I also saw a cute ruby-throated hummingbird & a pair of white-breasted nuthatches. It was a bird-full day!)

Mammals I saw today: humans, cheeky gray squirrel emptying our platform feeder

On the music machine: Everywhere by Michelle Branch

On the dinner plate: Sauteed chicken breasts, small rotini salad, cooked carrots

Chore still to be done: Change kitchen trash
