Erranding in the heat, heat, heat...

Yesterday afternoon, Diana took me to do laundry at the laundromat. While we were out, I saw magnolia trees in bloom, plenty of blooming hyacinths, and a rambling woodchuck, also a crow. This morning we took our walk on the late side, a little after 8, and we saw a whole flock of juncos and a wild turkey crossing the road. Also an all-black cat with a tip of white on its tail that has been hanging in the neighborhood for the last month or so.

Then we did our Saturday errands, also going to two different places to test drive cars. So far a new Kia Soul is the front runner. Fingers crossed that the process keeps moving smoothly. One of the cars we really want to test drive still doesn't seem to be available in our area, so we are going to wait, wait, wait to try to test drive one before making our final decision.

Other than that the day was mostly dominated by the heat...hitting at least 85 degrees Fahrenheit in Syracuse.

Book I finished reading today: Potions and Pastries by Bailey Cates

Insect on my wall right now: brown marmorated stink bug (I know. It's invasive, and it could harm orchards, but it isn't going to hurt me right now & I'm not really the killing type.)
